Want Change? You Need 6 Principles
A Year-Long Journey to Rewrite Your Story, Rewire Your Mind, and Retrain Your Actions
Introduction: What Is the 6 POWERS Process?
Transformation is not about quick fixes or surface-level changes. Real change is about going deeper—rewriting the stories that hold you back, rewiring your emotional patterns, and retraining your behaviors and choices. At Next Level Human, we guide our clients through the 6 POWERS framework, a year-long journey designed to help you create the life only you can live.
This process unfolds in four phases:
Perception (Verum Videre) – Seeing the truth.
Ownership (Vivere est Militāre) – Taking radical responsibility.
Wisdom, Engagement, Resolve (WER Loop) – Gaining insight, taking action, and overcoming challenges.
Sharing (Reliquam Amor) – Turning pain into purpose.
Each phase builds upon the last, forming a cohesive progression that takes you from awareness to action and, finally, to contribution. Here is what this journey looks like, step by step.
Phase 1: Perception (Verum Videre – "See the Truth")
Imagine you’re walking through life wearing fogged-up glasses. Everything you see—your relationships, your opportunities, your purpose—is distorted by the fog of past experiences and unconscious beliefs. In this first phase, we help you wipe those glasses clean.
Metaphor: Untangling the Knotted Ball of Yarn
Your unconscious mind is like a ball of yarn, filled with knots. Each knot represents a MUD (Misguided Unconscious Decision)—a belief or story formed during moments of emotional intensity. These knots often originate from SEEs (Sudden or Severe Emotional Events), which don’t have to be "capital-T" traumas but could simply be moments where your understanding or capacity was overwhelmed. For example:
A child’s sense of safety might be disrupted by an emotionally unavailable parent.
A teenager might internalize rejection as proof they’re unworthy of love.
A young adult might equate failure with a lack of freedom or autonomy.
Over time, these knots shape your perception of the world—and you don’t even realize they’re there. The Perception phase is about pulling on the string and untangling these knots.
Process:
Spot the Pattern: Identify recurring themes or struggles in your life.
Pull on the String: Trace these patterns back to their origins.
Spot the MUD: Uncover the initial misguided decision or belief.
Clear the MUD: Use tools like BEEP (Breath Enhanced Emotional Processing), WET (Written Exposure Therapy), and Dimensionalized Dialogue to process and release emotional blocks.
By the end of this phase, you’ll start seeing the world—and your place in it—with greater clarity. You’ll understand how old stories have shaped your life and begin rewriting them with intention.
Phase 2: Ownership (Vivere est Militāre – "Life Is a Battle")
Once you see the truth, the next step is to take radical responsibility for your life. This phase is about stepping out of victimhood or blame and fully owning your story—not as a burden, but as your unique gift.
Metaphor: The Hero’s Forge
Imagine you’re a blacksmith, and your life is a sword being forged in fire. Each hardship, failure, and struggle is a hammer strike, shaping you into something stronger and sharper. The heat of the forge isn’t there to destroy you; it’s there to refine you.
Key Insights:
You Are Not Special, but You Are Unique: Your experiences don’t make you better or worse than anyone else, but they do make you uniquely qualified to contribute something to the world in a way no one else can.
Pain Points to Purpose: Every struggle contains hidden lessons that guide you toward your purpose. Suffering is the source of meaning; pain is the path to purpose.
Authenticity Is Forward-Looking: You’re not meant to be authentic to your past or current self. Instead, use those selves as building blocks to create your Next Level Human identity.
Tools and Practices:
The Honor Code: Define the principles you’re willing to stand for, fight for, and even bleed for.
Self-Authoring Exercises: Rewrite your story with a focus on growth and purpose.
Manifestation Meditations: Visualize and embody your Next Level Human self.
This phase shifts you from "Why me?" to "What now?" You’ll emerge with a renewed sense of agency and a clear vision of the person you’re becoming.
Phase 3: The WER Loop (Wisdom, Engagement, Resolve)
Wisdom (Semper Discendum – "Always Be Learning") Engagement (Meritum Securus – "Easy Is Earned") Resolve (Memento Mori – "Remember Death")
If Perception is about seeing differently and Ownership is about feeling differently, the WER Loop is about choosing and acting differently. This phase is where transformation meets the real world.
Metaphor: Learning to Ride a Bike
Remember learning to ride a bike? At first, you had no idea what you were doing. You fell—a lot. But each fall taught you something. You adjusted, tried again, and gradually gained the balance and confidence to ride freely. The WER Loop works the same way.
The Cycle:
Wisdom: Gain insight from your initial attempts to change. These "aha" moments are sparks of understanding that reveal what’s possible.
Engagement: Take action based on that wisdom. This means making bold choices, trying new things, and stepping out of your comfort zone.
Resolve: Face the inevitable setbacks and failures. Muster the courage to get back up and try again, knowing that each attempt builds competence and confidence.
Why This Phase Is Hard:
Most people struggle here because acting differently requires leaving behind familiar patterns, environments, and even relationships. It’s uncomfortable, but it’s also where real growth happens. By repeatedly cycling through wisdom, engagement, and resolve, you’ll retrain your brain to align with your new identity.
Phase 4: Sharing (Reliquam Amor – "Leave Your Love")
The final phase is about contribution. By now, you’ve rewritten your story, rewired your emotional patterns, and retrained your behaviors. This phase is where you turn your transformation outward, sharing your light with the world.
Metaphor: Lighting a Candle
Imagine lighting a candle in a dark room. Its glow doesn’t diminish when it lights other candles; it grows stronger. Sharing is about igniting others through your story, your energy, and your example.
Key Practices:
Authentic Storytelling: Share your journey, not for validation, but to inspire and uplift others.
Everyday Presence: Focus on the energy and example you bring to ordinary interactions, from buying coffee to waiting in line.
Contribution Without Attachment: Create and give freely, without needing acknowledgment, reciprocation, or reward.
This phase isn’t about achieving something grand or external. It’s about recognizing that your worth is intrinsic and using your journey to leave the world a little brighter.
The Rewrite, Rewire, Retrain Process
At its core, the 6 POWERS journey is a three-step process:
Rewrite: Uncover and rewrite the old stories driving your behavior (Perception).
Rewire: Shift your emotional holding patterns and align with your authentic self (Ownership).
Retrain: Take bold action and retrain your brain through real-world practice (WER and Sharing).
Final Thoughts: Your Unique Path
This isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach. It’s a process tailored to your story, your struggles, and your unique gifts. It’s not easy, but if you’re ready to commit, it’s a path to transformation unlike any other.
The question isn’t whether you’re capable of change. The question is: Are you ready to begin?
