The Storm That Saved Me
In 2023, I lost $6 million.
My business collapsed. Everything I had built for years was gone. My identity as a successful entrepreneur was crumbling. And as the reality set in—the looming loss of my home, my wealth, my reputation—I was consumed by fear.
I was caught in a storm I couldn’t control, one that felt like it was going to sink me. But in my lowest moment, one single question emerged:
“What do you want?”
And suddenly, I saw it. This was my self-imposed turmoil. The very thing I had spent years trying to help others escape, I was drowning in myself.
I wanted to do the work I was meant to do—helping people break free from the prisons of their own minds, their own resistance. I had been trying to force a future where my business sold, giving me the financial cushion to transition into Next Level Human. But the reality?
That wasn’t the most efficient path.
If my business had sold, I would have been too comfortable. I wouldn’t have had the urgency, the fire, or the story I needed to teach this work at the level it required.
I had been attached to an illusion—the illusion of control, of security, of the identity I thought I needed to maintain.
And in that moment, I realized: I could do this work out of a van, and it wouldn’t matter.
That was the moment I surrendered. And that was the moment I collapsed into my optimal path.
The Quantum Science of Manifestation: Understanding the Optimal Path
Most people think manifestation is about attracting what you want. It’s not.
It’s about becoming the person who can hold the thing you want.
And in order for that to happen, life has to guide you to your optimal path. Sometimes, that looks like loss. Sometimes, that looks like everything falling apart. But what’s really happening is a quantum process of interference, collapse, and alignment.
Let’s break it down with real science.
1. Feynman’s Path Integral: The Science of All Possible Paths
In quantum mechanics, a photon doesn’t take just one path from Point A to Point B. It takes all possible paths at once.
Each of these paths has a probability amplitude, and through a process called interference, the inefficient paths cancel out while the optimal path emerges as the one that actually manifests.
This means that what we perceive as a straight-line outcome is actually the result of an invisible process of trial, error, and elimination—with nature itself always selecting the least-action path, the one of greatest efficiency.
Your life works the same way.
You are constantly moving through all possible paths, and life is constantly canceling out the inefficient ones. But when you resist—when you grip tightly to what you think should happen instead of what is actually happening—you create destructive interference. You stay stuck, repeating struggles, never quite aligning with your true potential.
But when you surrender—when you allow life to unfold and step into the future self you are meant to become—you collapse into your least-action path. The one that gets you where you’re meant to be in the fastest, most efficient way.
2. The Observer Effect and Retrocausality: How the Future Influences the Present
Quantum mechanics has demonstrated that the act of observation changes reality. The famous double-slit experiment revealed that when a photon is not observed, it behaves as a wave—exploring all possible paths. But the moment it is observed, it collapses into a definite state. This suggests that the observer plays an active role in shaping reality.
What does this mean for manifestation?
You are the observer of your own life. The perspective from which you observe determines the reality that unfolds. If you observe from a place of fear, resistance, and attachment, you collapse into a limited timeline—one of repeated struggles and setbacks. But if you observe from your future, optimal self, you align with the timeline where you become that version of you.
Retrocausality—the idea that the future can influence the present—is another key principle. Certain quantum experiments suggest that decisions made in the future can change the state of the past. In a practical sense, this means that your future self is already creating the conditions necessary for you to evolve. The obstacles you face now aren’t random—they are designed to refine you into the person who can hold what you are trying to manifest.
3. How to Know If You're on the Wrong or Right Path
When you are on the least efficient path, you will experience:
Repeated struggles—the same problems over and over again.
Recurrent obstacles—no matter what you do, you stay stuck.
Stagnant emotions—feeling trapped in frustration, resentment, or anxiety.
Familiar difficulties—cycles of bad relationships, financial hardship, or self-sabotage.
However, when you are on the right path, you will experience:
A redirection that feels like a setback at first—but quickly reveals hidden opportunities.
Synchronicities and serendipities—things falling into place in ways you couldn’t have predicted.
New opportunities and breakthroughs—doors opening that didn’t exist before.
Feeling lighter, clearer, and more aligned—even when things seem uncertain.
It’s almost as if there are two paths:
The familiar path—it starts off comfortable but quickly becomes frustrating, repeating the same patterns.
The foreign path—it starts off uncomfortable and scary but quickly becomes the thing you truly wanted.
This is why you must be careful with what you try to manifest. The universe will respond, but it will do so by stripping away first, rather than adding. Because the person who wants the thing is not the same person who gets to have the thing.
Manifestation is about remaking you, not remaking the world.
To get there, the universe will give you the lessons and hardships you didn’t know you needed, to take you to a better place you didn’t realize you wanted to go.
The Ultimate Truth About Manifestation
The universe doesn’t give you what you want. It gives you what you need—to become who you were meant to be.
It will strip you down. It will take things away. It will break your attachments. Not to punish you—but to set you free.
Because the person who gets what they want is not the same person who wants it.
So if you’re in the middle of loss, of struggle, of a life that seems to be unraveling, ask yourself this:
What if this storm is the thing that saves you?
What if this is the quantum world aligning you to the future you’re meant for?
What if, instead of resisting, you surrendered—and let it carry you home?

Great article. It provides a nice practical way to look at manifestation, one that I had not considered.
This is brilliant! As a scientist and lifelong soul seeker, I love the collision of science and spirit - when quantum physics and ancient spiritual texts are perfect mirrors of each other. The deeper i explore the connections, the more my mind is blown. After so many years of it, it's a wonder i have any mind left to be blown.
Oh, and as an entrepreneur I can only say' "I resonate and I concur."
